Residential Vinyl Windows and Patio Doors

Product FAQs

Paul’s Windows specializes in vinyl retrofit window applications. Our projects consist of moderate single family homes and 2-4 unit complexes.  Our customer base consists of homeowners looking for a basic, economical upgrade without sacrificing on reliability and performance.

If you’re not sure what window upgrade you’re looking for, we recommend you visit Taylor Brothers at www.taybros.com (We are not affiliated with them in any way, nor are we recommending their services; however they have many more options to choose from.)

What brands do we carry?
Crystal Pacific is our primary source; however, at customer’s request, we can help with the Milgard Tuscany or StyleLine series.

What’s the difference between window brands?
Vinyl window manufacturers, in general, use the same components when manufacturing windows.  They all have to adhere to the same window specifications set forth by the American Window Manufacturers Association.  Well-known window companies will spend more money in “branding” or advertising their windows to the buying public which, in turn, raises the cost of their products.

How does the warranty work?
Upon invoice, we will issue you a warranty claim number.  You can then call the manufacturer directly and they will schedule you in within 30 days of calling.  We understand that the manufacturer’s customer service at times is not their top priority, so we encourage you to call us. We will process your manufacturer’s service request for you.

Is there any warranty fine print?
Manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on all products as long as you reside in the property.  Manufacturers state that slight variations and curvature, minor scratches or marks, or other minor visual imperfections are not considered product defects.

How long before the product is delivered?
After placing the order, it will typically take about 10-15 working days to receive the windows from the manufacturer.  Installs are scheduled around the manufacturer’s delivery date.  Color coating, specialty windows, and unexpected manufacturer backorders may delay your lead time.

How do I know if I’m getting a fair deal?
Take a list of your window sizes to Home Depot and ask for pricing on vinyl frame replacement windows only.  If asked what brand, select their most popular entry level brand similar to a Jeldwin or Milgard and include z-bar frame, low-e3, argon gas, and screens.  Once you establish a base price for the product, next calculate the installation fee.  On average, the going rate is $125-150 an opening per window.  Finally, add 12-15% for servicing the job and this will give you a good sense of the market rate for window replacements.

Do we provide installation only services?
Unfortunately, we only sell and install products we offer.
